As a Platform Engineer MSI, you’ll play a key role in improving and maintaining integration platforms that are critical to Schiphol’s operations—some of which are essential for keeping the airport running smoothly. And how you approach this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you can distinguish between main and secondary issues and make connections. . You put your talents to work at:
Designing new or enhancing existing platforms.
Developing new platform functionalities based on your designs.
Providing feedback on designs created by the Tech Leads, Solution Architects, and/or Lead Engineers.
Supporting users of the platform YOU and your team have developed.
Handling incidents and change requests through various channels.
Managing support cases with vendors.
Participating in a one-week (24/7) on-call rotation to handle after-hours Service Desk (with corresponding compensation!).
From the design phase onward, your input will shape the platform’s success. Once the in production, your focus shifts to continuous improvement, onboarding developers, handling support requests, and identifying opportunities for automation.
The Messaging & Service Infrastructure team designs and builds the following integration platforms: API Management, Kafka & ActiveMQ. We use Scrum as our development methodology.

API management platforms (e.g., Red Hat 3scale, NGINX, or Kong).
Integration platforms (e.g., Kafka or AMQ).
Infrastructure/Configuration as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
Public Cloud (Azure experience is a plus).
CI/CD technology (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab).
Containers (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or OpenShift).
Linux systems expertise.
Scripting (Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell) & Git.

You get this
€ 4.520,88 to € 6433 gross per month (Scale 10 to scale 11 depending on your relevant experience).
The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
